The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established by the approval of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), to meet the growing requirement of engineers in Computer Science discipline. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research in various areas of Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology. KITM is among such b.tech college which focuses more on practical exposure to students.

The Department has state of the art infrastructure with well-equipped Laboratories. The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department is fully equipped with all the labs required for the curriculum such as:
